As i-D and Chanel partnered up to launch The Fifth Sense, we were briefed to design an identity that would reflect both the magazine’s irreverent tone and the brand’s elegant attitude.
Our recommendation for the identity was inspired by elements of both brands and characterised by bold typography, ethereal imagery and pairing of elements, generating a layered yet simple system.
The art direction was extended to a portal for The Fifth Sense to house all the content produced in the partnership and bring the two brand worlds together within the existing i-D platform.
